AI Response

From the second half of the movie Artificial Intelligence there is a sense of the human race being less human than the robots. A main example of this would be when the humans create this circus like event where they kill the robots for entertainment. This so called “event” is cruel and unusual and portrays humans as inhuman because they show zero emotion or compassion for the robots except when it is David’s turn to be burned and blown up. The fans become outraged because David is a little boy who looks so real. Due to the outrage of the fans they throw objects and yell at the guy who is in charge of destroying the robots and David is eventually let go.
Another aspect of the movie deals with what Dreyfus discusses as the idea of technology not producing exactly what one wants. David and his friend go out on a journey to search for Dr. Kno because he is the one that they believe will be able to answer David’s questions. David wants to know where he can find blue-fairy so she can make him into a real boy and he can go back home to Monica. Dr. Kno can be compared to the search engine google that Dreyfus elaborates on. Dr. Kno is not able to answer David’s answers exactly just like when you type something in to google you are not going to get back from the internet exactly the information needed.
