Journal Entry Concerning A.I.

In class we recently watched the movie A.I. which was directed by Steven Spielberg. At the very end of the movie a new form of life (we can not tell if this is robot or alien) is observing David whom was a boy robot. The life form commented about how David is a robot that was programmed to be the way that humans used to be (before some disaster). The life form then extracted the memories of David and shared them amongst themselves. This has been suggested by Lyotard in one of his articles based off of
Dreyfus. In the article under the mans point of view, artificial intelligence is necessary to preserve the knowledge of the human race. The mans view tells that one day the sun will explode and then all knowledge will cease to exist. Unless we create artificial intelligence in which we can inject our thoughts and memories for perseverance.
The new life form in A.I. was using the knowledge of David as sort of an artificial intelligence to understand the human race. David who was not accepted and loved by the people he cared for in his own time for not being human was the human that the new life form decided to study because of its human qualities.
