Technology Changing Education?

The video we watched in class focused a lot on how technology was changing the face of education. Not only is technology in the classroom constantly increasing, but it is altering education as a whole.  As one of the professors in the video stated, technology is like 'oxygen'; it just helps school make more sense to students.  Many schools are switching from an influence on contemplation and thinking to more hands-on actually doing things.  Some schools implimenting these strategies show higher attendance rates and higher test scores.  However this is not without its criticisms.  Some people label it as instant gratification educations, basically saying that it is based on quick and fleeting thought that does not foster long term linear thought.
