Phillip Brey begins with the fact that AI research has been going on since the 1950's and that it was assumed that a reasoning, intelligent machine would be available in a few decades.Considering it is now fifty plus years later, maybe creating a "human machine" is not meant to happen and maybe it shouldn't.
