Technical activity automatically eliminates every nontechnical activity or transforms it into technical activity. This does not mean, however, that there is any conscious effort or directive will. Jacques Ellul

Journal 8
In class we talked about whether or not robots would be a good representation of humans if we were to no longer exist in the future. It doesn’t really seem as though it would. Humans are so unique and individual that it doesn’t really appear as though robots would do us justice. Robots simply just don’t have the things humans have. Robots are the perfect race. But really, that isn’t what defines us humans as a culture. We don’t strive to be perfect. We strive to be better, and more knowledgeable, but perfect? Far from. Robots simply would not be able to represent humans the way they should be represented if the world would later only consist of these machines.
