Technical activity automatically eliminates every nontechnical activity or transforms it into technical activity. This does not mean, however, that there is any conscious effort or directive will. Jacques Ellul

Blog 12
After watching the rest of the video on Brian Eno and Will Wright, I thought it was very interesting. The whole idea of the videogame, “Spore” just seems too complex to really make every aspect of the game concerning it. It’s amazing how much technology has gotten better over just the past 5 years really. Videogames seemed to be getting fancier, showcasing new gadgetry, and many other sorts of things nowadays. The games themselves seem to be getting more intelligent. Back in the day, if anyone would have brought up the idea for “Spore” I don’t really think anyone would have taken it seriously. Technology has just grown so rapidly and continues to, Spore will simply be the “Pong” fifty years from now. Technology just grows much too fast to have anything last too terribly long.
