Technical activity automatically eliminates every nontechnical activity or transforms it into technical activity. This does not mean, however, that there is any conscious effort or directive will. Jacques Ellul

Journal 10
Lyotard brings up the issue of the sun dying and that thought will cease to exist. While this is true, it seems that an issue that will take place so much in the future is not need today. Should this eventual event cause us to not won't to be the best that we can and use our minds to continue ti better our lives. We can't live our lives wondering what our futures will hold. Nobody knows when God will decide our time is done on the earth or when He will return, for that matter. If generations before us thought that thought didn't matter because live would some day be over, we probably would already cease to exist. We would not have had anyone come up with advances in medicine and technologies that allow us tho live longer lives. I think we definitely have to think about what we can do to make a difference today, and hope that if will help in the future.
