Prometeus: A Media Revolution
This video was produced in 2005 and is a look into to the future of media, which is Agav which finds information, people and places in the virtual world. In short, in fifty years the only source of media information comes from Google, Amazon and Second Life. By the 2050, Google google buys out amazon and second life and becomes the singular and dominate force in media in second life. Google creates Prometeus, a company than replicates reality with avatars. People become who they want to be and can go where ever they want to go. By all this power and wealth, google employees begin to take offices in the government and essentially have control of the country. This is a really interesting video and perhaps a bit radical, but who knows how much power google will have.

This is definitely an interesting video. A complete trade off of focal things and practices in exchange for increased information, freedom, and experience. What is lost, is it worth it, and since it will make our lives easier, do we even have a choice?
