Robby the Robot
I find the entire idea of robots rather fascinating. I didn't realize at all that the concept of robots has been used and developed for many years. I also didn't realize that Robby the robot himself had appeared in so many different films. I am very anxious to hear the speaker on Thursday. Technology is so amazing in our current time that I can only imagine the kinds of things the speaker will enlighten us on.

This idea is fascinating. Robots can be used for multiple things and the number of jobs for them will only grow. I too can not wait till Thursday to see what is said and demonstrated by the guest speaker. I am sure I will find something out that I had know clue that even exisited let alone is being used to develop robots. I will like to hear some opinions from someone how is an expert at the topic too. It should be interesting.
I really enjoyed watching robby the robot. I also had no idea that this one robot was such a big deal and was in multiple other movies. It was very ineresting. And to think that maybe someday technology will actually allow us to create a robot that does what robby does is amazing. I think that the speaker on Thursday is only going to make our minds expand more and imagine all the creative possiblities we may be able to create in the near future when it comes to robots!!!!
I found it very interesting today with the guest speakers concepts of how his robot will come along. It was interesting to understand all the programing that needs to take place for this to happen. I would like to understand the how to program them and figure out what their basic needs are.
The video we watched with Robby the Robot was rather fascinating that they had that type of technology and envisioned him that way in the 50's when the idea was still fairly new. The speaker that we had today also helped to put insight to the situation. Can robots really have emotions? Will they be able to come up with their own language to be able to communicate with one another? These are all questions that might be answered, but it's hard to imagine that something inhuman will be able to function as we do.
Its amazing how many different characters were spun off of Robbie the robot. The task and daily activities that he contributed could be quite vital in today's world. Just think after a long day at work, you could have a robot complete the daily task that await you at home. Cooking, cleaning,dishes, the laundry, they could all be taken care of by a robot. I know the men would be extremely happy!
I also love the idea of robots in out culture. they could be used for alot of things. they could help us out with surgury and provide dangerous jobs that couls save alot of lives. we need to be open minded and try to realize that the good would really outweigh the bad inthis case. they could really bring our civilization into great places and i cant wait to see where that might be in the future
